Mike Brogan of Cincinnati, Ohio, received a package of Diamondback souvenir items including T-shirts, hats, glassware, novelty items and a large sign proclaiming him as the coaster’s 10-millionth rider.
Diamondback is a B&M hyper coaster which stands 230 feet at its highest point with a first drop of 215 feet at a 74-degree angle. Riders snake their way around 5,282 feet of track at speeds up to 80 mph. Coaster fans always say it’s one of their favorite rides to do marathon rides on!
Only the Racer (1972-1975) and Vortex (1987-1992) reached 10-million rides given faster in the park’s 42-year history.
