Disney Reveals Opening For Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Disney has finally provided fans with an update regarding the huge Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge expansion for both Disneyland and Disney World resorts.
While we knew the lands were slated to open in 2019, exactly when wasn’t official until now.
Today, Disney revealed that it’s Disneyland version will open in the summer, while the Disney World version will open in the late fall.
Along with the announcement of the opening season, the company also shared an exclusive sneak peek of the project.
It was first announced that the new Star Wars lands would open in 2019. Now, we know the seasons—and soon, we’ll have the specific dates.
2019 will be a busy Summer for Disney fans. Star Wars Celebration Chicago kicks off in April, then, a likely Marvel Studios presence at San Diego Comic-Con in July, the D23 Expo in August, and then Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. Although specific dates have yet to be announced for Galaxy’s Edge, it’s safe to assume it’ll be sometime just before or tied to the D23 Expo—giving attendees of that event an opportunity to see the highly anticipated section of the park.
There will be many ways to visit the new Star Wars lands before they open to the public and we’ll be sure to keep everyone up to speed on how to partake in those events. Like our socials and subscribe to our YouTube channel to be the first to know when it’s time to explore the new lands!
