Fury 325 Successfully Completes It’s First Test Run at Carowinds + Announces Special Event!
This is shaping up to be a breakout year for Carowinds with all their new additions to the park. Cedar Fair has invested in a $50 million dollar plan that is about to change the face of Carowinds forever. Fury 325 is a big part of that change, and is a record breaking new Giga-Coaster that delivers the thrills Carowinds is known for.
Construction crews have been working hard all winter to get Fury 325 completed for opening day. Scheduled to open in Spring 2015, Fury 325 will be the Tallest, Fastest Giga Coaster in the World. The first hill stands 325 feet tall, as riders zoom along 6,602 feet of track the ride will simulate the flight of an angry hornet and reach a top speed of 95 miles an hour!
Today, March 4, 2015, History was made as Fury 325 has successfully completed it’s first test run!
And, 30 minutes later, another train goes up the hill for the second test run of the day.
The 1st train out had a GoPro attached to it. Those who can’t wait until Spring 2015 to experience Fury 325 can take a REAL POV ride below!

When Cedar Fair parks add new rides to their lineup, they usually host special events and private preview nights for the ride debut. Carowinds is hosting a special Fury325 event exclusively for 2015 season pass holders from 5 – 10 p.m on Friday night, March 27. If your not a season pass holder, you can still purchase a season pass today and be eligible to attend the event! If you plan to purchase a season pass, we suggest not to hesitate and do it now. Season passes could sell out or the park could stop new pass purchases from being eligible if the event sells out.
