Halloween Haunt Returning To Dorney Park This Weekend
This weekend, Dorney Park will bring nightmares to life! Halloween Haunt will open for its 9th season on Friday, September 16th bringing a fright-filled experience to the Lehigh Valley, featuring 8 mazes, 4 scare zones, 25 hair-raising rides, live shows and over 500 gruesome creatures.
New scares for 2016 include two new mazes and two new Skeleton Keys. Guests can travel through the brand new Blood on the Bayou maze and discover the dark secrets that trouble the monsters of the French Quarter, encountering mindless demons trudging through murky waters in search of their next victim. Guests can also make their way through The Ward, where orderlies have some loose ends to tie up with the impending state foreclosure. Guests can unlock a Skeleton Key while settling in for their terrifying stay at the Mansion House Hotel, a night they would rather forget! Those who dare to walk among the Captain and his band of probates can unlock the Skeleton Key on Cut Throat Island.
Guests can up the fear factor with Fright Lane including Skeleton Key. Fright Lane has been expanded to 8 attractions this year, allowing guests to make their night more full of fright! This premium add on experience includes front of the line access to 8 attractions, more intense and interactive scares in 6 Skeleton Key scare rooms and exclusive access to Blackout where your fear of the dark will be tested! Not sure you’re ready to take on the terrors awaiting you? No problem! Guests can purchase a No Boo Necklace to let monsters know to keep away.
Before facing their biggest fears, guests can enjoy fine dining in the unique setting of a haunted house for a special Mansion House Meal. Gather with other spirits in the main dining room and encounter creepy characters and fine food that’s to die for! Meal is served on select Saturdays in October at 5:30 PM. You can also Feed Your Fears at our Fright Feast, an all-you-can-eat meal served from 6:00-7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings during Halloween Haunt.
Families looking for a unique family-friendly Halloween experience can check out The Great Pumpkin Fest that will open on Saturday, September 17th. Younger guests can put the “WEE” in Halloween on Saturdays and Sundays from September 17th – October 30th and enjoy their favorite PEANUTS® characters, trick-or-treat stations, a foam pit, a petting zoo, numerous Halloween decorating activities, spectacular live entertainment and all the fun of Planet Snoopy! New for 2016, guests can experience Franklin’s Monster Mania and see what their favorite friendly monsters are up to in the Funster House and Monster Foam Machine.
