Mystic Timbers First Rider Auction Raises $60,000 For Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation
After a busy morning at the Mystic Timbers Media Day event, we headed back to Kings Island for the First Rider Auction.
Guests who wanted to be among the first to ride the new roller coaster, Mystic Timbers, helped to raise money to benefit the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation. Each participant had to raise a minimum of $100 that goes toward providing life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in the Cincinnati area. In case your unfamiliar with Andy Dalton, he’s a Quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals who helps bring awareness to the needs of families and hospitals in Cincinnati.
The event ran from 5:30pm – 9:00pm this evening and began with dinner including fresh salad, pulled pork, chicken tenders, hamburgers, and Mystic Timbers themed cookies! Check out the cool little log themed holders for the food name plates!
From 7pm-9pm participants were able to ride Mystic Timbers which included night rides! Night rides on Mystic Timbers are absolutely fantastic with the track twisting and turning through the woods. It’s quite possible that fans will come to love the Mystic Timbers night ride as much as they love a night ride on The Beast.
To kick off the riding, Andy Dalton took the first ride with the top bidders.
All in all, the event raised $60,000 for the foundation with the help of participants as well as several sponsors including Trident Engineering, R.E. Middleton Construction, Ashlee Fence, The Toy Factory, Perkins/Carmack Construction, Elaut USA Inc./Coast to Coast Entertainment, Springdot and U! Creative.
Mystic Timbers opens to the general public on Saturday, April 15. For tickets and more information, visit the official Kings Island website by clicking here.
