Waterworld Concord to Become Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord
Starting in 2018, Waterworld Concord will be transformed into Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord. As part of it’s 2017 acquisition by the Six Flags chain, it will be an officially branded Six Flags property.
Along with the new name, the park is also receiving a new attraction. For the 2018 season, Splashwater Island will be added to the park. This new four story play structure will feature more than 100 interactive sprayers, water jets, and geysers through-out the attraction. Guests will be able to climb up ladders, splash down nine open and enclosed slides, and navigate varying platforms and net structures. Check it out in the video below of the re-imagined waterpark!
“Six Flags is a world-renowned leader in thrills and innovation and we are excited to add the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor name to our newest park. The new Splashwater Island attraction will delight families with young children and guests of all ages will enjoy the colorful, new theming and many park enhancements,” said Don McCoy, President of both Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord.
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord will be home to more than 35 world-class water attractions, ranging from heart-pounding water slides to the region’s largest wave pool to Northern California’s longest lazy river. This is just a smattering of what’s available. Along with the new Splashwater Island attraction, a whole host of other changes are also coming to the park. The following changes include:
- New entrance marquee
- Newly Renovated dining and retail options
- New paint schemes for attractions
- New signage for attractions
