Six Flags Great Adventure Will Run Batman BACKWARDS For A Limited Time
Go Big, Go Backwards! For a limited time, Batman: The Ride, will be more intense than ever when riders dare to take on an all new experience… going backwards!
SixFlags Great Adventure located in Jackson, New Jersey, will open Batman: The Ride in 2015 for the coaster’s 23rd season. Since opening in 1993, Batman The Ride reigns as one of the most popular roller coasters in the world. Now, 27 million rides later, the park will operate the ride backwards for a limited time! That means plummeting down the 10-story lift hill without being able to see what you’re in for, and then reaching speeds of 50 mph as the train zips over 2,700 feet of track, vertical loops, hairpin turns and corkscrews! The coaster will be running backwards for a limited time from July 4th until September 7th.

“The ride’s intensity is ratcheted way up,” said John Fitzgerald, Six Flags Great Adventure president. “Thrill seekers will not want to miss this limited-time opportunity to put their inner ‘super hero’ to the test.”
The park is also adding the looping flat ride, El Diablo: Loop roller coaster. While the park boasts that it’s another coaster, many enthusiasts are calling it a flat ride. What do you think?
