Thunderbird Construction Update at Holiday World
Holiday World is introducing the World’s first launched wing coaster in 2015 called Thunderbird. (Check out our announcement article with specs here). Construction has been moving along rapidly and the park has been keeping us well informed of how the ride is shaping up.
The coaster’s vertical loop and Immelmann inversion are already complete. The next element that will be constructed is an over-banked elevated spiral. Painters and construction workers have been supplying the park with some amazing photos from above and below the new ride.
The park is also keeping everyone up to speed with construction videos called Hard Hat Chronicles. Check out the latest “Hard Hat Chronicle” below for a behind-the-scenes look at Thunderbird’s progress:
Below is an animation of what to expect once the ride is complete.
For all the details about the ride including videos and specs, check out our Thunderbird announcement article here.
Fans can watch watch the entire construction process live via the park’s webcams. or follow along via their facebook page. Thunderbird is expected to open on April 25, 2015.
