TransWorld Reveals Location For 2016 Legendary Haunt Tour
Once the Halloween season is over, haunted attraction owners and operators from around the world gather to tour some of the industries favorite haunts. Each year, TransWorld exhibits selects a different city with haunts and attractions to play host to what’s known as TransWorld’s Legendary Haunt Tour.
2015 has brought us to Illinois to tour some of Chicago’s best haunts. So far, our reaction is WOW! It has been one hell of an awesome tour thus far! Haunts, after parties, and socials have been great in the city that hasn’t been host to a TransWorld event in nearly a decade! It’s nice to be together in the Windy City again after so many years of tradeshow memories in Chicago.
Last night, TransWorld revealed a banner at one of the haunter dinners before our tour, announcing the 2016 location.
Legendary is going to Pittsburgh for 2016! The announced attractions are ScareHouse and Hundred Acres Manor. Both shows are completely different and are exceptional quality. ScareHouse will take patrons on an eerie, theaterical, and immersive tour while Hundred Acres will kick up the energy with their grungy sets and startle scares!
We can only speculate but hopefully TransWorld will include some of the Pittsburgh zombie history with the 2016 LHT itinerary. There’s a lot of zombie history surrounding the city such as the Living Dead Museum, which is home to many of the props and set pieces from George Romero’s Living Dead movies. Tom Savini’s special efx school would be a great stop as well, or even a visit to go behind the scenes at Kennywood Park’s Halloween event, Phantom Fright Nights. It’s all just speculation on the extra stops, but ScareHouse and Hundred Acres Manor are the only places confirmed so far.
We are very excited for LHT Pittsburgh and can’t wait to enjoy an almost famous Primanti Brothers sandwich with a cold Iron City beer!
See “Yinz” in Pittsburgh!
