Universal Orlando Offers Free Parking For Everyone After 6 PM
If you like to enjoy the nightlife at Universal CityWalk during vacation, we have some good news! Effective immediately, parking at Universal Orlando will be FREE for everyone after 6:00 pm. Previously, only Florida residents received free parking after 6:00 with valid proof of residency. After 6:00, parking was $5 for non-residents. The only nights Universal will charge for parking after 6:00 pm will be during Halloween Horror Nights. Daily parking at Universal is currently $20.oo with a preferred parking option for $30.00 and a valet service that costs up to $50, depending on length of stay. (free Valet for Premier Annual Pass holders).
Parking for the under-construction Volcano Bay water park is scheduled to open in late May. The Universal hotels have also have their own dedicated parking lots.
CityWalk has grown its dining and entertainment options tremendously in recent years. Offering free parking will make CityWalk much more accessible to guests. While Universal has not announced a specific reason for the change, it can be assumed that with the popularity increase of Disney Springs, Universal wants to increase the crowds at CityWalk.
Last week Universal announced Volcano Bay’s public opening day: Thursday, May 25! Volcano Bay will be a water theme park unlike any other park in the world, with the first virtual queue system that will keep your place in line so guests don’t have to physically wait in line!
Recently, Universal also announced Jimmy Fallon’s opening day: Thursday, April 6! NBC will be filming The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon LIVE at Universal that week, however details to get tickets to the show have not been announced yet. We are excited to hopefully get some tickets for the shows, no matter how late they are!
