Universal Studios To Add Year Round Walking Dead Attraction
Rumors have been swirling as of late that Universal Studios Hollywood is planning to install a new year-round walk through experience this coming Fall. The latest buzz is that the attraction would be themed to The Walking Dead.
Universal has been building seasonal mazes during their annual Halloween Horror Nights events for several years now with much success. The attractions are always very popular and usually have long waits. With that being said, it makes sense for them to add a Walking Dead themed walk-through full time. Offering the attraction year-round would give fans that can’t make it to their annual Horror Nights events, a chance to experience it.
Just this past year while visiting the IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Sally Dark Ride Entertainment Company debuted a new Walking Dead themed dark ride.
Maybe Universal took notice and made a deal… It’s a long shot.. but who knows.. To our knowledge, no one has purchased the themed ride from Sally yet though.. Check out the video below showing a sneak peek of Sally’s Walking Dead dark ride.
Sally is one the industry’s leading developers of interactive dark rides (i.e. shooters). Last year, the company developed Justice League: Battle for Metropolis and had it debut in two Six Flags parks. It is set to open in two more Six Flags parks in 2016.
