What’s Happening At Dorney Park This Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day weekend is an exciting time around Dorney Park because it parks the beginning of daily operation. Friday, May 26th marks the start of daily operation, meaning you can enjoy the park every day through Monday, September 4th. In addition, Saturday, May 225th, marks the opening of Wildwater Kingdom. New this year, are seventeen new cabanas to enhance the park’s privacy and luxury, bringing the total up to 29 cabanas. They are located near Wildwater Cove and provide a semi-private covered area with chaise lounges, pool side service, and early entry into Wildwater Kingdom. When you rent a cabana, you also get access to a variety of other amenities like fresh fruit, bottled water, a personal sized refrigerator, a small safe, cable TV, and in-park coupons. Also new in Wildwater Kingdom this year is Papa Luigi’s that serves fresh-dough pizza and Philly Cheesesteaks.
In addition, you can enjoy a Memorial Day Cookout and the park at the same time. The cookout will be help Saturday-Monday from 4:30-7:00 PM in the new Parkside Pavilion. The menu includes hamburger, hot dogs, fried chicken, pasta salad, garden salad, cole slaw, potato chips, and watermelon. Most importantly — it’s all you can eat! Saturday night will feature Dorney’s spectacular Memorial Day Fireworks display beginning at 9 PM.
Celebrating the spirit of memorial day, Dorney Park is also having Military Days this weekend to pay tribute to the brave men and women of the armed forces and will offer a free regular admission ticket to any active or retired military personnel Saturday-Monday. In addition, they will also be able to purchase discount tickets for immediate family members. Season Passholders will also be able to take advantage of Bring-A-Friend this weekend and purchase discounted tickets.
