WinterFest Returns To Kings Island With More Rides In 2018!

After the successful 2017 holiday event, WinterFest will return to Kings Island in 2018! The park is adding two new rides to the 2018 event, as confirmed by park GM Mike Koontz during the Coasterstock Q&A event this past weekend.

In 2018 Kings Island will be adding the Flight of Fear to the ride lineup for the winter event. Work was done on insulating the ride building, ensuring that the track will stay at a temperature that will allow it to operate.  It is unknown if any holiday overlays will be added to the ride like what was seen on Mystic Timbers.

Furthermore, Shake Rattle & Roll will also be added to the ride lineup for the holiday event. When Winterfest returns, the entire length of Coney Mall will be open for guests to enjoy a variety of rides, shows and attractions.
