Darien Lake Answers Questions Regarding Season Passes After Six Flags Sale
In light of Tuesday’s sudden news regarding Six Flags acquiring 5 properties, questions arose regarding season passes to those properties. Curious individuals wondered if their Darien Lake pass could get them into Six Flags properties, and visa versa. In light of the surrounding confusion, Darien Lake answerd some questions including questions regarding individual’s passes since the acquisition.
What happened – how is this going to change Darien Lake?
Darien Lake has been purchased by Six Flags, but will continue to operate independently (as stand-alone park) for the summer of 2018.
What Other Properties were purchased?
The other properties that were purchased by Six Flags include:
- Wet N’ Wild Splashtown in Houston
- Wet N’ Wild Phoenix
- Frontier City in Oklahoma City
- White Water Bay in Oklahoma City
Can I use my Six Flags Season Pass or Membership for entry into the park?
Unfortunately, you cannot use your Six Flags Pass or Membership to receive entry into Darien Lake at this time. While we expect that park admission will eventually be included as part of the Six Flags Season Pass and Membership programs, for the summer of 2018 we will continue to operate independently and will not be included. However, we have a terrific Season Pass program available now.
Can I use my Darien Lake Season Pass for entry into other Six Flags parks?
Unfortunately, you cannot use your Darien Lake Season Pass to receive entry into other Six Flags parks. Although we expect to eventually be part of the Six Flags network, Darien Lake Season Passes will only be valid at Darien Lake for the 2018 season.
When are you going to be a Six Flags so I can use my Six Flags Membership/Season Pass?
We expect that at some point in the future (likely for the 2019 season) our season pass programs will align with Six Flags Season Pass programs and Memberships. However, this season we will continue to operate independently (as a stand-alone park).
Will Six Flags pass holders be offered discounted admission at Darien Lake
Yes. Soon. We expect to be able to announce something over the coming weeks.
Will Darien Lake Season Pass holders get a special offer at Six Flags properties?
Yes. Soon. We expect to be able to announce something over the coming weeks.
Is Darien Lake closing or changing its schedule?
No – Our operating calendar and park hours will remain the same but are always subject to change should we add an event or additional concerts.
Is this good a good thing?
We are very EXCITED about this transition and the opportunities that Six Flags will bring to our property.
