Top 31 Haunted Attractions 2016
Haunted attractions today are comparable to Hollywood movie productions, becoming more elaborate and more immersive than ever before! According to the Haunted Attraction Association, the haunt industry is a $7 billion dollar industry with more than 2,500 haunted attractions spread across the U.S. A recent poll showed that just over 22% of Americans visited a haunted house this season.
Every Halloween, we hear the buzz about the BEST and SCARIEST haunted attractions, so for a second year in row, we gave the fans a chance to once again nominate and vote for their favorites. Fans nominated a list of over 125 haunts around the U.S. Then, throughout the month of October, fans had the opportunity to visit the attractions. The last weekend in October those same fans voted for their favorite haunts. After more than 35,000 votes, here are the selections that YOU, the FANS voted as Coaster Nation’s 2016 Top Haunts!
1. Niles Scream Park – Niles, Michigan
After a very close race in the polls, Niles Scream Park holds their title of top haunt for the second consecutive year! They have been scaring the pants off customers for over 40 years! That’s certainly, a major milestone in the haunt industry. After our last visit in 2014, we can say this is truly one of the largest, scariest, creepiest, and most blood-curdling attractions we’ve ever experienced. We will definitely have to make this a stop for us next season! Congratulations to the entire Niles team on being voted the winner of Coaster Nation’s 2016 Top Haunt for the second consecutive year!
