New Markers Appear Around Magnum and Gemini At Cedar Point

A few weeks ago, Cedar Point unveiled one of the most anticipated coasters of all time to the media. Now, just a few weeks later, there’s already some interesting developments near Magnum and Gemini.

On the stretch of land between the Monster and the entrance of Magnum, new flags have been placed throughout the area along with  spray markings in both the gardens and guest pathways. The flags are orange, red, and white, which would indicate signal lines, electrical lines, and excavations respectively.

Below is an overhead view showing the size of the marked areas. The flags completely surround the area where the Witches’ Wheel attraction is located. There’s also additional markings outside the resort entrance gate as well.

It’s likely that this land will be altered for the 2019 season, which will be the kick off of Cedar Points’s two season long 150th anniversary celebration. The park has recently started promoting the upcoming celebration, as seen in a tweet from the park’s Director of Communication, Tony Clark.

That’s not the only construction happening at the park. There’s also machines digging away near Wicked Twister, on the former site of the the Extreme Sports Stadium. The park’s app lists a new show at this location titled Fire and Ice, which is described as: “a world-class, 12-piece production band and singers crank out great tunes to put some fire into your night“.

The construction site is open in plain view from the beach side of the park, so we were able to stop by and film an update of the current progress. However, the site currently only contains dirt and a few electrical boxes…

So what’s to come? It’s a little early to speculate, but we would lobe to hear some of your ideas and thoughts of what might be in store for America’s Roller Coast. Let us know on our socials (where we have been giving away lots of cool swag and merch from the parks).

As summer continues, the park will be getting busier and busier. To avoid some of the crowds, we highly recommend checking out Cedar Point’s VIP Packages. These are some sure ways to have an exclusive one of a kind experience the whole family will be sure to remember! More details on the VIP packages here.
